	Solace is a voice-first AI companion app for grieving individuals who have lost a loved one. It provides compassionate, emotionally intelligent conversation and listening. Available on iOS, Android, and Google Home  helping users feel heard, less alone, and gently supported through grief. The companion is fully customizable in name, persona, personality tone, and voice style, and grows with the user over time by remembering past conversations, emotional states, and personal details they choose to share. Audience & Roles Single user role: Grieving Individual (authenticated, self-use). Each user has their own private companion and data. No admin or multi-user roles. Users control all their own data companion configuration, memory, loved one details, and conversation history with full privacy. There is no shared or social layer. Onboarding & Companion Creation: New user signs up guided onboarding asks for companion name, persona (choose from archetypes or write custom), personality tone (warm/gentle/calm/uplifting sliders), and voice style (pace, softness, accent) optionally prompted to share details about their lost loved one (name, relationship, personality traits, favorite memories) companion is created and introduced to the user by voice and on-screen. Daily Check-In: Companion proactively sends a push notification (mobile) or voice prompt (Google Home) at a user-set time each day user is greeted by name companion asks a gentle open-ended question about how they're feeling today user responds freely companion listens, validates, and responds with compassion session is saved to memory. Voice Conversation (Mobile & Google Home): User initiates a conversation by tapping 'Talk to [Companion Name]' on the app or invoking via Google Home voice command speech-to-text captures user input AI generates empathetic, contextually aware response informed by memory and companion persona response delivered as synthesized voice audio in the configured voice style conversation logged and key emotional moments and details stored to persistent memory. Memory & Loved One Profile (Optional): User accesses 'About [Loved One]' section adds or edits details: name, relationship, personality traits, shared memories, significant dates (birthday, anniversary of passing) companion references these naturally and sensitively in conversation companion acknowledges significant dates proactively. Companion Customization: User opens Companion Settings at any time updates companion name, persona description, personality tone sliders, voice style changes apply immediately to next conversation previous memory is preserved. Conversation History & Memory Review: User views a timeline of past check-ins and conversations sees mood tags and key moments the companion remembered can mark or delete specific memories.
